The Wilder Kaiser region offers ideal conditions for cycling and mountain biking. From easy bike tours near the valley to challenging mountain bike routes (such as the one to Hintersteinersee and Walleralm), both leisurely and sporty bikers will find their paradise.
For hobby bikers, there are numerous beautiful bike paths in a unique natural landscape, along with interesting sights, cozy inns, and rustic mountain huts (such as Walleralm, Kaiseralm, Tanzbodenalm) for resting and refreshments.

And there are plenty of destinations to choose from.
Take the Wilder Kaiser, a mountain range of such beauty that locals are occasionally left breathless just looking at it.
And on days like these, there is only one desire: "Up we go!"
The backpack is packed, the hiking boots are laced up, and off we go!
The Brandstadl hiking area also offers numerous beautiful hiking routes.
With the BergWelt Lift and Hiking Pass (3, 7, 14 days or season pass), the cable cars in the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental holiday region provide unlimited possibilities. Enjoy the convenience of the summer-operated gondolas, a cabin funicular, and several chairlifts (up to 13 lifts and cable cars) throughout the region, without having to worry about local boundaries, as often as you like within the validity period. Valid in all towns of the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental holiday region: Brixen im Thale, Ellmau, Going, Hopfgarten, Itter, Kelchsau, Scheffau, Söll, and Westendorf.
Archery
In just a two-minute drive, you can reach the popular 3D archery course at Gasthaus Weberbauer! Equipment is also available there. Additional courses can be found in Oberndorf and St. Johann (approximately 15 km away), Kirchberg (approximately 30 km away), Jochberg, and Westendorf (approximately 30 km away). Guided courses are also offered during the summer!
Climbing in the Wilder Kaiser
The Wilder Kaiser is one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the Alps. For hikers or regular mountaineers, the Wilder Kaiser reveals all its scenic charms. On high-altitude trails or via ferratas, you can enjoy the view of the striking cliffs and rocky peaks that have inspired numerous artists.
The limitless climbing opportunities that the Kaiser offers have made it a favorite playground for many climbers.
Famous mountaineers trained here for major Western Alpine tours, new mountain rescue methods were developed, and alpinism history has been written here for over a century.
Hintersteinersee Lake
Located above the village of Scheffau, at an altitude of 883 meters, you will find the most beautiful and cleanest mountain lake in Tyrol, within the Wilder Kaiser nature reserve. There is a public beach available at the lake. After a hike, you can recharge your energy here.
In 2018, the lake was named the second most beautiful place in Austria in the TV show "9 Treasures, 9 Places".
Wilder Kaiser 27-hole Golf Course
A premier-class showcase course. At the foot of the mighty rock massif, a "garden" with lakes, streams, trees, shrubs, and 27 holes unfolds. Playing golf here combines the fascination of the sport with a unique nature experience.
The ideal sunny location allows for a long playing season. In the captivating surroundings of the "Wilder Kaiser," golf becomes an experience.
